1. This gentleman was hired by the Ohio Company (wealthy Virginians) to map out the Western Pennsylvania area and find the best place to settle. 2. During his expedition he claimed the land along the Allegheny and Ohio Rivers for the French by burying lead plates at the mouth of the streams. 3. He was the Governor of Virginia who selected George Washington to deliver a message to the French (Get out of the area). 4. He was the new Governor of French Canada. His orders were to stop the progress of the English in the Western Pennsylvania area. 5. The French built this fort in the present day Pittsburgh as the French and Indian War began. 6.This person was sent to Pennsylvania to lead the war in Pennsylvania for the British. He was eventually killed in action. 7.He was the Colonel involved in the Jumonville Glen incident. 8. This gentleman was the Governor of Pennsylvania who placed a bounty on all Native Americans and declared war on the Delaware and Shawnee Tribes. He did this without the consent of the Assembly. 9.This fort was built by George Washington and his men after the Jumonville Glen incident because he knew an attack by the French was imminent. 10. He was the Prime Minister of Great Britain. 11. He was put in charge all British/colonial troops in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. It was his troops that defeated the French at Fort Duquesne. 12. This Pennsylvania Colonel surprised attacked the Native Americans in Kittanning, PA.
